The Escalon Cemetery District is an Endowment Care Cemetery, as well as a Public Cemetery.
Endowment Care
Endowment Care is the amount contributed to an endowment care fund.
Income from the endowment care fund is used to provide continuous care and maintenance at the cemetery. This includes perpetual care, when no more burial sites are available.
Regular care and maintenance activities can include: grass mowing, trimming around headstones, regrading of graves, watering, caring for trees and bushes, maintenance of water supply systems. etc.
The minimum dollar amount to be contributed to the endowment care fund is governed by law.
Public Cemetery
Our Cemetery district provides burial services for those residents within our jurisdictional boundaries and anyone with eligible rights established by the Health & Safety Code Section 8893 & 8894. Call the cemetery office for more information.
